Vets4Pets Blackburn is a veterinary clinic located in Blackburn that boasts a 4.5-star rating from 352 reviews, indicating generally high satisfaction among clients. The clinic provides a range of veterinary services, serving as a Veterinary Nurse Training facility, and is noted for its separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, enhancing the comfort for both pets and owners.
The reviews present a mixed picture of the clinic's performance. Several clients, such as Sharon Crichton, express deep gratitude for the care their pets received, particularly highlighting the efforts of a vet named Brian, who is credited with saving pets' lives in critical situations. Jessica Thomas also praises the clinic's team for their professionalism and the personalized care provided to her reactive dog, with particular appreciation for the convenient appointment options and communication through a WhatsApp group.
However, not all feedback is positive. Alison Pearce recounts a distressing experience where her cat did not receive necessary treatment due to what she perceived as unprofessional and dismissive behavior by the staff. Similarly, Ridhwaan Mahomed reports dissatisfaction with rushed consultations and perceived rough handling of his pet, raising concerns about the clinic's attention to detail and overall standard of care.
In summary, while Vets4Pets Blackburn receives high praise for its caring staff and effective treatments, as evidenced by numerous positive reviews, some clients have reported instances of inadequate service. Despite these criticisms, the clinic's overall rating suggests that many pet owners have had positive experiences. No clear pricing information is provided in the reviews.

Really good 1st experience. Love the separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. Paid before hand which is fine. Nurse was so kind and caring.

I had an absolutely awful experience with Vets for Pets in Blackburn and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. We brought our cat in at 9 a.m. for urgent treatment and they initially agreed to put him on a drip and administer Carbodote to clear out toxins. However, not long after, they refused to give him the Carbodote because he was frightened and defensive—something any cat might be in a strange environment. They wouldn’t let me administer it myself and left him without this crucial part of the treatment. We ended up transferring him to the out-of-hours clinic on Longsight Road for overnight care. The difference was night and day: they allowed us to be present, he was calm, and they administered the Carbodote easily. He didn’t lash out, didn’t hurt anyone, and accepted the treatment well when handled properly. To make matters worse, when we went to collect him from Vets for Pets, the reception staff made unnecessary and unprofessional comments, calling him the “most vicious cat they’d ever come across” and comparing him unfavourably to feral cats. They even mentioned having to get the first aid kit out for nurses who were scratched, which was both uncalled for and upsetting to hear. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, they chose to make us feel worse. When we called for updates during the day, we also found the staff to be rude, sarcastic, and patronising. Their attitude made an already stressful situation even more difficult, and it was clear they had no interest in supporting us as worried pet owners. It’s clear that this is how it should have been handled in the first place and that Vets for Pets’ refusal to administer the Carbodote was not only negligent but completely unnecessary. We’ve now registered him at the new clinic, where he is finally receiving proper care. In short, I found Vets for Pets Blackburn to be unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking in compassion. I’ll be filing a formal complaint and strongly advise other pet owners to stay away.

This is by far the best Vets in Blackburn and we've tried them all we take all 10 of ours to them Brian has saved 2 of them even when our baby girl was overdosed by previous non profit vets Brian sorted her out he also saved our Maine Coons life from FIP without this fantastic vet he'd be gone. No words are good enough to thank Brian and team for saving Heathcliff you guys are just outstanding. Wish all vets were like. Thank you for everything you do for my furkids it means the world to us.

Very disappointed with my last two visits here. I spent around £50 each time for what felt like a rushed, 2-minute consultation. The vet barely listened, blazing through the process without giving proper attention to my concerns. I also found the handling of my kitten quite rough, the prodding felt aggressive, and there was no real hands-on observation or effort to reassure my pet. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher standard of care and professionalism. Unfortunately, what I experienced was far from it. Felt more like a transaction than a genuine check-up.

I just wanted to share a review for the lovely team at vets for pets Blackburn. All the staff I’ve met have over the past couple of years have been so caring, professional and very understanding! My dog mainly sees Brian who I just cannot fault. My dog is unbelievably reactive and absolutely hates a trip to the vets. We all work together to allow my dog to get the treatment he needs (which isn’t easy) so thank you! I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment, the what’s app group is amazing for booking in appointments, ordering medication or just asking for advice which I have needed to do in the past. This is the only practice I would ever recommend!! So again thank you! Jess & famous Milky x
