The main decision-point raised in negative feedback is inconsistent communication about costs and what’s included, alongside one report of being refused telephone advice despite the caller expecting it from the website.

Registered my baby guinea pig and made an appointment the same day. I paid £58 over the phone and was told "the deposit is inclusive of a consultation and any medications prescribed" to which i agreed and im pretty sure the conversation has been recorded to evidence this. I took my guinea pig to the vet and my appointment was 20mins behind schedule, I was prescribed antibacterial steroid cream and antisceptic solution, as there was no Imaverol anti-fungal ordered in and was told to come back if there's no improvement. I got the medicines and was told I needed to pay £35 extra for the medicines, despite what the lady on the phone told me. I could buy these online for cheaper or from Amazon. I rang Vets4Pets and theyre at least estimated £70ish rather than the near £100 I paid for no proper diagnosis and medicines I could have got online for a lot cheaper (and I have bought an antisceptic, antifungal and antibacterial spray and ringworm bath solution on Amazon for £8.99). Really upset was told one thing over the phone then another in person regarding pricing, otherwise I would have just gone to Vets4Pets for cheaper or just treated her at home! The vet was lovely but the appointment was a waste of time and especially money, im just really frustrated about everything else. 😞 Edit: Thanks for getting back to me, I completely understand the waiting times, im not complaining about that at all. Im just more displeased about the lack of clear communication on the receptionists end. Not all pet owners are in a position to afford expensive health care for their pets at an independent practice, but I still asked twice and decided to go through with registering and the following consultation and medications because of the fact I was told that the £58 was inclusive of consultations and medications. If I was not told that, I would have searched alternative cheaper options or been in the know about the service and pricing policies that would have been provided at Daisy Street vets. There's nothing I can do about it now because my £90+ is gone, but I would have truly happily spent that if I knew medication was separate. In regard to medication, I was only told these two products are a sterile solution and a steroid antibacterial cream, "which does not treat fungal infections" and to return if these do not work so ringworm has not been ruled out as not all strains appear under the blue light. So I was told one thing by the vet however this response is telling me an alternative thing. Her rash has healed mostly which Im thankful to the vet for, there's still scabs and itching but I cannot afford another £100 visit unfortunately. All I ask is clear transparency between the practice and patient owners. But i appreciate your time to respond to me and your kind wishes for her. Thank you!

I can’t recommend Daisy Street Vets highly enough! They’ve been absolutely brilliant with my kitten, Binx, from the very first visit. The whole team is so kind, caring, and professional — they always take the time to reassure both pets and owners, which makes such a difference. They’re always on hand with good, professional advice and genuinely go the extra mile to make sure every pet gets the best possible care. Every appointment has been smooth and stress-free, and you can really tell how passionate they are about what they do. Their pricing is fair and transparent, and the service is consistently amazing. Binx always gets such a warm welcome, and I feel completely confident knowing he’s in the best hands. Thank you to everyone at Daisy Street Vets for all you do — you’ve made a nervous new kitten owner feel totally at ease! 🐾💛

Said on the website can get advice over the phone anytime and a call back from the vet so rang up for some advice on my hamster and they refused to give any advice even though it’s stated on the website that advice can be given at any time! All i wanted was to explain what I’ve been doing to treat the problem and ask if there is anything else I can do!

Best Vets' in Britain. Very caring, happy to discuss any concerns and answer any questions. I totally trust Mr Davies and Sam. Won't go anywhere else. Can't recommend enough. Worth more than 5 stars.

Brilliant. Our cat broke his leg which, unfortunately, it wasn't in his best interests to save. Sam and staff treated him (and us) amazingly. We're incredibly pleased to have him home. If we could rate more than 5 stars, we would. We wouldn't take him anywhere else.
